Subscriber-Only Cutting

The cutting garden is only open for subscribers to cut. This helps us to maintain the garden and the number of blooms throughout the season. For pop-up weekends where we have ample blooms to support more cutting, we will announce that the cutting garden is open for non-subscribers to cut as well as subscribers! To be alerted when this happens, follow us on Facebook!

While our cutting is only open to subscribers, we do keep beautiful pre-cut bouquets stocked in the farm shop for purchase!

Flower Cutting Guidelines

  1. Please wait to cut flowers until we notify our subscribers via email that the Cutting Garden is open for the season. This is typically in early June.

  2. Be sure to check in at the front desk to record your visit and check out so that we may count your stems. Each visit covers up to 24 stems. Redeem only 1 visit per week. Sunflowers are counted as 2 stems.

  3. Please only cut in the Cutting Garden and not the nearby Children’s Garden or private gardens. Clippers are available to borrow at the front desk if you need them.

  4. Please cut a variety of flowers so there’s enough for everyone.

  5. Please cut above any buds to ensure that flowers continue to bloom all season long.

  6. Admission is covered for the Cutting Garden Subscriber only. All others must check in at the Interpretive Center and pay admission if they wish to venture beyond the Cutting Garden.

  7. If you have children helping you, make sure they are always supervised and following the guidelines.
