Ryan Mooney-Bullock, Executive Director of Gorman Heritage Farm, has spent the last 26 years working in science, agriculture and environmental education and environmental policy and systems change. A seasoned strategist, program manager, and educator, Ryan enjoys helping people make connections between their passions and what is going on in the natural and human worlds around them. She spent over 8 years at the helm of Green Umbrella, Greater Cincinnati’s Regional Climate Collaborative. Where she led the organization through massive growth, leading to increased impact. She developed and managed the Green Learning Station at the Civic Garden Center, educating thousands of teens and adults about green stormwater management, composting, and backyard food production. While studying Environmental Studies at the University of Chicago and researching at the Center for Neighborhood Technology, she focused on environmental policy, economics and urban sustainability. At Antioch University New England she deepened her understanding of natural systems and how to educate about them, earned a MS in Environmental Science and secondary science teaching credentials, and worked on an organic CSA farm. She has also taught science at Princeton High School, designed interpretive signage, and served as the operations manager and a performer for her partner’s puppetry company.
