GUEST CHEF – JOSE SALAZAR

In 2008, Chef Salazar took his knowledge and experience to Cincinnati, where he was tapped to be the Executive Chef of the renowned Palace restaurant in the historical Cincinnatian Hotel. It’s there that Jose was able to develop his style of cooking, incorporating the ingredients and techniques of America, Spain, France and Japan. Since his arrival in the Queen city, Jose has received many favorable reviews, including 5 stars from Polly Campbell of The Cincinnati Enquirer. Chef Salazar has also garnered national attention. Most recently Food and Wine magazine awarded him the title of people’s choice “Best New Chef” (Great Lakes region). Chef Salazar is currently overseeing the kitchen at Abigail Street while his own restaurant, to be named Salazar and located in Over the Rhine (opening august 2013), is being built.
