Come and stroll through fields of Sunflowers and enjoy the many activities we have planned.  This was a great event last year, and the 2008 Sunflower Festival promises to be bigger, better and more memorable than last year!
 

 

Sunflowers

The highlight of the weekend is sure to be our fields and fields of sunflowers.  Enjoy our spectacular views and enjoy a walk or take picture of our sunflower fields.  Cut a bouquet to beautify your own home as well.  Children and adults of all ages will enjoy all the activities we have to offer.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
                                    Sunflower Maze
Have you ever been lost in a field of flowers?  Well, here's your chance ... this year our traditional corn maze will have a twist: we've put it in a sunflower field! Wander through the golden flowers, and really experience something unique.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
                                                   Music and Dance Performances

Enjoy traditional clog dancers and music from the Appalachian region of America.  On Saturday, the Country Steps Clog Dancers will perform traditional clog and Appalachian dance steps and are sure to entertain all. 

On Sunday, the Cincinnati Dulcimer Society will perform traditional Appalachian music ranging through various time periods and styles.  These musicians may have you up out of your seat and dancing in no time with their upbeat music.  (1:45 PM)
 
 
 
Kids' Activities
Hey kids .. have you ever searched for a needle in a hay stack?  This year at the Sunflower Festival, kids will have the opportunity to jump in the hay, and pull out a prize!  Paint a pumpkin, make a seed mosaic, or try some other great crafts.  Dig in the soil with antique farm tools, see our old tractors as always, visit with our friendly animals!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Come as You Grow Costume Contest
Children are invited to dress as a sunflower or their favorite farm animal and enter our "Come as You Grow" Costume Contest.  Winners will be given a prize and all children who come dressed as a sunflower or their favorite farm animal will be receive free admission. (Judging daily at 1 PM in the farmyard.)
 
 
 
 
 
 
Pumpkin Patch
Autumn is the season for pumpkins and here at the Farm we will have plenty.  Feel free to walk through our pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkin, just in time for Halloween.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Equestrian Demonstrations
Come learn about horses and their diverse abilities, from pleasure riding and jumping to draft horse work.  Different equestrian activities will be presented throughout the weekend. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Hay Rides
Traditional Hay Rides will be given throughout the Sunflower Festival.  Open to all ages, children and adults alike will love taking a ride to the sunflower fields and pumpkin patch on one of our hay wagons! 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
"Win the Book"
There is a mountain of knowledge to learn about Autumn, sunflowers, and the harvest season.  Half Price Books would like to help you learn more about the Autumn season by sponsoring special book drawings at each of the program stations at this year's Sunflower Festival.  As you go through the Farm, be sure to look for the Half Price Books logo and enter drawings to "Win the Book!"
